Naked in the streets around the church Santa Maria del Mar, Barcelona July 19th, 2010
While most pedestrians kindly greeted in a typically Spanish (or Catalan?) way, stood for a few seconds to throw a glance at the nude model that moved freely and completely uninhibited, and to address some flattering compliments to the beautiful young woman with the long wild hair, the delicious curves and the thick bush of black pubic hair, only one single viewer all the time placed himself into the picture, where he looked „uninterested unobtrusively“ from the corners of his eyes how Susana showed herself to me and my camera. And unfortunately he did not want to leave. Here he is…

It is still no problem to photograph a nude model in public in Barcelona. Yet one can move around freely and completely naked, it is expressly allowed.
In this wonderful city one is quite familiar with a lot of crazy things and most of the people love to live in a metropolis, where things happen that are not possible elsewhere. Where Mediterranean joy of life mix with hard-assed big-business. Where tourists keep their wallets and cameras ready for the many pickpockets. Where nameless artists informally meet with celebrities, where art, culture and commerce in every conceivable variety praise themselves loud and flashy, or Spanish-charming with liveliness or slushy.
But unfortunately politicians also want to do something sometimes, though certainly nothing important. Therefore, for some time they violently argue, if the police should take urgent care that no more tourists saunter through the hot summer streets shirtless just with shorts or swimwear. Nudity, of course, shall be banned. In particular, those who approach the nude beaches most likely only with the binoculars out of their air-conditioned cars with tinted windows, lead an equally bitter and ridiculous-looking combat against the decadence. After all, no one wants to prohibit the many pretty girls to emphasize their charms by wearing tight and scanty clothes.
Actually, the attitude of this political farce perfectly fits the medieval atmosphere of the old town. It is just far less beautiful and attractive. It’s just politics. And while the press eagerly pushes the supposedly hot topic which allows them to scribble one or two long articles without using the otherwise ubiquitous word “crisis”, most people could not care less.
I would venture to say that the artistic and beautiful nudes in the two series nude in Barcelona 2 and nude in Barcelona 3 will not be the last daring art productions that come into being in this “City of Marvels” (Eduardo Mendoza)!

…at least in the shower! Of course also girls who do not own such an exciting body with curves that make you dream like the beautiful young woman here on the left, get wet from time to time… But hey: I was just searching for an attractive title for this post that would attract you to come and read the rest. And here you are: welcome!
Actually I didn’t even want to talk about water splashing over round young tits and flowing between the legs around a shaven pussy, nor about long legs of naked girls, with firm butts and wet hair and wet skin getting excited while showering, but as google is the only source where people who don’t already know me, will find me, I took the chance to place these words here anyway…
What I was about to say was, eh, ah: did you ever try to take photos in a very very small room? It is not easy, I tell you!
In that small red shower there’s almost no space to place my broncolor flashes. Either I stand in front of the light and throw ugly shadows on what we really want to see, or the flash stands so near that we must fear about the models life – I don’t really want to cause her an electrical shock, although I guess there would be quite many fetish guys who would enjoy the effect… Well, they still have to search on other sites!
Ok, it’s not easy, I already said so. And from the point of view of a model it is very boring, when the photographer moves around his tripods from one place to the other, still not happy with the result, change again, oh no: harsh shadows, change: sh…, the flash reflects in the wall, change, oh, now there’s no more light on the pussy and the head is bright as hell…. And the model shivers.
No. This wouldn’t work. So, to be honest: I prepared the light before the model came to the session. I first tried to put an object in the shower for the tests, but that didn’t really help. So I endet up using another tripod for the camera, a remote-control in the hand, and me myself naked in the sower. NO! I am not going to publish these test shots! However, I wanted to see the effect of the water on the skin, the flow, the frozen drops… so I had to get out of my clothes and give it a try.
I was very satisfied with the results! Not because I think I am a very beautiful model (I deleted the photos immediately…), but because I did not only find one solution but several. One of the series you can see here now: Laura: shaven girl taking a shower.
Laura has black hair, long legs, a perfect skin, but other models have different hair, different skin, different forms… so they need another light, and if you come back again soon, you can compare my different methods of light with different models. Because finally I really like the limitations this small room imposes on me. I find it quite challenging.
I hope, you’ll find the results quite exciting!

The result is a series of pictures of the dense atmosphere, which, I think, show more than just a beautiful young woman with a slim round figure, perfect breasts, a small firm girls bum, natural pubic hair and beautiful long hair…

Why I take more photos of smoking nude girls May 20th, 2010
A polemic about a controversial subject.
I like smoking. I like smoking women. I like to go to a nice café, have a coffee, read the newspapers, smoke some cigarettes, have a talk with other nice people.

But now “Anti Smoking Leages” have declared war on us smokers, and they do it in a frightening fundamentalist manner that reminds on me the worst of the anti-sexual terrorism of the church, when they told us, wanking leads to blindness. As we all know, this wasn’t true at all – you wouldn’t see my photos if it was, and I couldn’t have taken them 
So how about cancer and smoking?
What stands out first is that the two countries that contaminated the world with atomic bomb testing, France and the United States of America, are the first front-line soldiers in the war against tobacco. The IAEA (not quite a nucelar critical organization…) writes “The accident at Chernobyl was approximately 400 times more potent than the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima. However, the atomic bomb testing conducted by several countries around the world during the 1960s and 1970s contributed 100 to 1,000 times more radioactive material to the environment than Chernobyl.” (http://www.iaea.org/NewsCenter/Features/Chernobyl-15/cherno-faq.shtml)

Isn’t that interesting? We live in a world full of cancer-causing agents, but we talk about tobacco, only about tobacco.
In Switzerland exists an ultra-fundamentalist organization, the so called “Lungenliga” that wants to prohibit smoking almost everywhere. For health reasons. What a bad joke!
First of all, nobody asks those guys to sit in the same restaurant as we do. If they don’t like smoke, ok, shall they stay (far!) away from us and leave us alone. If they don’t want to inhale smoke, they can easily avoid it. But I cannot avoid to inhale the carcinogenic agents that they blow in the air everywhere with their SUVs, when they drive to the next anti-smoking reunion. I cannot avoid drinking the water that is polluted by antibioticas and hormones, used for the production of the meat they eat. I cannot avoid beeing contaminated by the pesticides they need for the production of their industrially grown food. So please, where is their worry about public health?
And the politicians? Well, I’d better not go into details of what I think about politicians in general. But supposed they care for public health, why did they never ever try to prohibit at least the worst of the chemical additives used in the production of tobacco? Or at least obligate the industry to declare the contents of a cigarette, which sometimes might be some tobacco, but mainly is preservative agents, color, flavor additives, ingredients to make the cigarettes burn down faster… A simple step that could better the health of millions of smokers.
But there is no interest in bettering the health situation. Just imagine the pharmaceutical industry managers going crazy if the number of cancer diseases would decrease significantly.

No, there is absolute no interest in public health. The anti-smoke fundamentalists are nothing else but fundamentalists. They want to detract from other dangers, they want to create hostility between somokers and non-smokers, and – most important – they want to talk about cancer. They love it. Just as the church loved to talk about sex, when they told us how dangerous it is to give oneself an hand-job. For quite a while we all know about the sexual attitudes of many radically anti-sexual priests in regard of children. I leave it up to you, to imagine the private live of the radical anti-smoke perverts.
If you look back on my photographic work of the last decades, you’ll always find some photos of smoking women. It was just normal. But now sometimes I really feel kind of a satanic pleasure to put the smoke in the center of some photo series.

So, if you do not smoke – that’s ok with me. I really do understand, that you don’t like your clothes to stink from tobacco after leaving a restaurant and I really do understand, that you don’t like to inhale smoke while having your meal. I even understand, if you don’t want to kiss me just because I’m a heartily smoker, although I kiss good and you might miss something
But hey, come back down to earth and let there be room for different gustos and ways of life. Enjoy your passions, even if some others don’t like it, and let us smokers smoke the pipe of peace, while you… eh, what are you doing while we’re smoking?

A few weeks ago a young US-american girl contacted me: aren’t you working with hairy girls, woman who do not shave their pubic hair and have hairy arm pits? Well, yes, and everybody knows I do. And so we met for a talk.
Cindy is really a nice young woman, her curves are round, and an ever lasting smile is on her face. Beeing nude seems to be the most natural thing for her and so she didn’t mind at all when I took my camera to take some quick snapshots of her while she was taking a shower.
However, Cindy is really a hippie girl, all natural, there is nothing fake on her, but posing or even just changing her smile to another expression, seems to be something that wouldn’t fit to her personality…

italien beauty leaving Barcelona April 20th, 2010
A few weeks ago this beautiful young italian woman applied to be a model for my photo workshops here in Barcelona. After some quick test photos, as I always take them from new models, we agreed on a first photo session.
This first session every time is kind of an extended experiment, for both of us, model and photographer. From the test shots I only know, how she looks, if she’s ready to pose without too much timidness etc., but of course I cannot see, if she really will be capable to show her personal sensuality in front of me and my camera.

Already when staring the session I realized that not only I was looking at this intelligent young woman, but also she was observing me accurately: what does this old boy really want?
Of course I took advantage of this beautiful critical look as long as it persisted – you can see an example here on the left. Finally the session developped really successfully and you can look forward to see beautiful and special series of her soon on guapamania.com.
We agreed to work together again, but later she told me, that she soon will leave Barcelona for ever. She’s going to the USA, where she got a very good job offer in her profession. So last week we had another, last, session, and as she now felt much more secure, she really showed all of her feminine charme to my camera…
I am happy to have worked with her two times and my best wishes accompany her on her jurney into a new chapter of her life! Who knows, maybe we’ll soon see how US-american photographers look at her?
